The Government of West Bengal on August 20, 2026, issued the Standard Operating Procedure for execution of project based proposals related to Farm Gate Pack house with Standalone Cold Storage, Integrated Pack house, Collection Aggregation Centre, Cold Rooms, Cold Storages and Ripening Chamber under Integrated Post Harvest Management components of Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH).
The Horticulture MIDH Division has mandated that project-based proposals for Cold Chain and Post-Harvest Management must be submitted through the MIDH SURAKSHA Portal, complete in all respects and supported by required documents, geo-tagged photographs, and necessary technical details.
A Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) has also been issued for execution of project-based proposals covering Farm Gate Pack house with Standalone Cold Storage, Integrated Pack house, Collection Aggregation Centre, Cold Rooms, Cold Storages, and Ripening Chambers under the Integrated Post Harvest Management components of MIDH. Stakeholders are required to follow the prescribed SOP while submitting and executing such projects.
Compliance Action: Entities proposing or implementing eligible MIDH post-harvest infrastructure projects should ensure portal-based submission, complete documentation, geo-tagged photographs, and compliance with the prescribed SOP.
